A Little 1920s Style Affair

I love Classic, Vintage, and Sophisticated Fashion. I believe that people should always dress up as if he/she has somewhere to be. I also believe that I was born in he wrong era, because my soul is captured in a various time slot between the 20s and the 70s.

The 20s brought us Jazz Music in the person of Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington. It brought us High Fashion and Style, and Arts in the form of the Harlem Renaissance. It also saw the dreary Assembly Lines and Prohibition. Throughout people sought Hope, Change, and continued living. Gatherings, Parties, Dances brought joy and made most forget, for just one moment, the troubles ahead. The Era of Flappers, Mobsters, Bootleggers, and some of the Fines Threads.

So imagine my excitement when I learned about the #SoultrySpeakEasy being hosted by Chic Wine Events.

On Sunday, September 27th, Chic Wine Events will be hosting a dining experience that highlights the culture of food and wine/spirits pairing in a setting reminiscent of the Harlem Renaissance during Prohibition the event is called the “Soultry” Speakeasy and will feature live musical entertainment, fashion and curated art in a “neo-vintage” style. This event will take place at Stache (1920’s Dining Den) 109 SW 2nd Ave, Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33312 on Sunday, September 27, 2015, from 6pm – 10pm.

It's Summer

It's officially Summer...What that means for us here in Florida, is more heat, more beach, more outdoor activities, and the quest of hydration.
